I have been in business for 18 years and here is what I know to be true:
Working harder is NOT the key to better results
Staying in functional burnout is a fast track to failure
However uncomfortable it feels, you have to start putting yourself further up the list.
I was running on empty for years - I thought that’s just the way it was. Then in 2020, I got my ADHD diagnosis and was able to join the dots… and let me tell you the picture that emerged was not a pretty one!
I walked away from by business and began to rebuild. Through a combination of lived experience and deep research, I set about creating a business that could actually work for me and not leave me depleted every day - reaching for the bottle of wine, or giant Toblerone.
I didn’t even know if that was possible. Burnout was my baseline.
But through trial and error, I have created a low-energy, brain first business, that keeps me (largely) out of burnout. And I want the same for you.
